Fernando Ferro is a filmmaker from Caracas, Venezuela. He began his career by producing and directing international soap operas for the Venezuelan conglomerate, Venevision International. After becoming an executive producer at the age of 24, He began directing national ad campaigns for Yum! Brands. He followed by creating a primetime political satire program for Mira Tv, "The Rick Sanchez Show", which was on the air for four seasons.

He co-created "Traveling Dancer" for the Dance Network, and was a producer on "The Riveras" for NBC Universal. His focus shifted in creating content that represented the Hispanic community both in front and behind the camera, creating opportunities for Hispanic up and coming storytellers. He has directed music videos for artists like Spacghost Purp, ASAP Mob, and Shannon K, with videos totaling over 25 million views.

In 2019, Fernando wrote, produced, and directed his feature film debut with "The Big Feed", starring Manolo Gonzalez. The satirical horror is set to premiere on VOD platforms fall of 2022

Fernando later became Vice President of Content Strategy for film financing and production company, Foton Pictures. His arrival ushered in a new era for Foton, successfully producing three films during his tenure. "Pink Skies Ahead" starring Jessica Barden and Marcia Gay Harding was set to open the SXSW festival the year the world was struck with the pandemic. It was later purchased by MTV Films. "Echoboomers", starring Michael Shannon, Alex Pettyfer, and Patrick Schwarzenegger was released by Saban Films, and "The Birthday Cake", starring Ewen McGregor, Val Kilmer, Ashley Benson, Penn Badgley, and Shiloh Fernandez was released by Screen Media and premiered during the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival.

Fernando is currently set to direct "Colors", an atmospheric horror starring Shiloh Fernandez and Juan Pablo Raba. He is also attached to produce "Island in the Sun”, directed by Mark Pellington.
